Part of Tippmann's 98 Custom Platinum Series, this paintball marker sports a split receiver design, which provides easier access to internal components for simplified installation of grip upgrades and modifications. The secure front sight spring and trigger pins also make the marker easier to service and reassemble. Full-depth pockets eliminate the need to loosen the ASA bolts when disassembling the marker. The barrel porting and matte finish improve the marker's air efficiency and reduces reflective glare. Picatinny rails make adding a carry handle, scopes, or other accessories a snap. The vertical front grip offers stability and texture for a secure feel.
The gun also includes a Quick Thread Flatline barrel, which attaches easily to save players significant time and effort. Other highlights include an all-aluminum die-cast receiver and a quick-release feeder elbow. It's fully compatible for CO2, compressed air, or nitrogen.

I own the Tippmann 98 Custom paintball marker and it's a great entry level marker. It is very reliable and it shoots stright and far and best of all it is totally upgradeable. You can purchase different barrels, stocks, sights, grips etc. It is a semi-automatic gune but you can upgrade it to be fully automatic. I have used this marker for years and would highly recommend it.

Won't fine a better woods-ball marker at a better price but if it we're me I'd go with the A.C.T.(Anti-Chop Tech) version or even the A-5. This is going to be my backup marker after some heavy Mods.
